Shockingly, Discovery Communications has passed on a reality series billed as a sort of sequel to “Sarah Palin’s Alaska”.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mark Burnett (who produced the first series) has been shopping a show focused on Palin’s husband Todd and his “adventures as a championship snowmobile racer.” Both TLC and A&E have passed.

“So far, networks have balked at the steep asking price – Palin’s Alaska went for north of $1 million an episode and sources say Burnett and Palin are asking for a similar payday for the follow-up,” the site reported.

“I think it’s safe to say her time has passed,” a network insider said.
