Justin Bieber is coming home for the holidays and not just to see his family. The Canadian native is putting on a holiday special spreading cheer and good will for charity.
His holiday special, “Justin Bieber: Home for the Holidays,” will raise money for his BELIEVE charity, which benefits a variety of organizations that make a difference. Such charities include the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the GRAMMY Foundation, to name a few.
The teenage heartthrob will tape the holiday program in Toronto prior to airing, but in a secret location. It will go live on Dec. 22 on CTV and Canada’s MuchMusic.
Bieber, 17, will sing hits from his first holiday album “Under the Mistletoe,” other holiday classics and of course his own popular songs on the half hour special.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bieber revealed in a statement “The holidays are a very special time of the year for me and I’m looking forward to coming home and ringing them in with my friends and family.”
This isn’t the first time he has donated his time and money to charity. A portion of the proceeds from every purchase of his Christmas CD in the United States and Canada are donated to charity.
