Blake Lively took some time off from acting and spending time with her new beau Ryan Reynolds to bake cupcakes for charity in New York City.

The “Gossip Girl” leading lady baked up a storm at Sprinkles, the cupcake bakery in the Big Apple, where she showed off her baking talents. Lively, 24, created S’mores cupcakes with the staff, which will go on sale in January. All the proceeds will go to Oxfam aiding Somalia in famine relief.

Lively’s love of baking hasn’t been kept a secret. While she was promoting “Green Lantern” this past summer, she revealed her passion.

“I think baking is an incredible thing, cooking in general is an incredible thing. It’s very peaceful, it’s relaxing and it’s an artform. It’s also a science with baking, with the ingredients and whatever flavors you have is where you get artistic and creative.”

She even took her excitement for cooking to a new level in 2010 when she partook in workshop at Le Cordon Bleu Paris. “The food, the lesson, the chef, the ingredients — all the best of the best. I see why Le Cordon Bleu is world renowned,” the actress said.

Lively can be seen putting her skills to the test in the video below from Access Hollywood. One of her dirty little secrets was also revealed. She may or may not have tried Sprinkles doggy cupcakes that she gives to her cute little pup Penny.

“It’s amazing that they make the dog cupcakes suitable for humans, not that I would know and not that I’ve ever tried it,” Lively joked.

Her cupcake creations sure do sound delicious. Too bad we have to wait until January to taste them!
