Kristen Bell Wants Candle 79 to Open West Coast Restaurant

Vegetarian actress Kristen Bell has fallen prey to the delectable tastes of upper east side favorite Candle 79. Maybe she had the grilled seitan chimichurris or the porcine-crusted tofu. Or perhaps she had her epiphany during dessert with the chocolate peanut butter bliss. Any way you slice it, the California girl is itching for the NYC based restaurant to expand to L.A.

The NY Post is reporting that Bell was so in love with the food, that she spoke to the owners. She then asked them to open up an L.A. location, and even volunteered to be an investor.

This NY based Ecorazzi writer isn’t surprised. Candle 79 is a magical place where vegans and omnivores alike enjoy all the wonders of plant based cooking. Owners Bart Potenza and Joy Pierson not only give the gift of delicious food, they also work hard with the New York Coalition for Healthy School Foods to bring healthy plant based foods to school kids in the state.

We hope for the sake of Californians and farm animals that Candle 79 expands.
