Livia Firth isn’t the only gal to light up the red carpet with recycled fashion. Carey Mulligan showed off her sustainable style in a dress that she (gasp!) had worn before.

In Hollywood, once you’ve seen a dress on a celeb, chances are, that dress has gone to the back of the closet where it will never be seen again. When the dresses tend to cost thousands of dollars, it seems crazy that they should only be worn for a few hours.

Thank you to Carey Mulligan for showing that a dress can look twice as good the second time you wear it. The actress rocked the frock at the Film Critics’ Circle Awards in London last night. Last month she debuted the same dress at a party in L.A. for her film “Shame.”

Livia Firth had some kind words to say about Mulligan’s recycled look. She tweeted, “Love #CareyMulligan u rock girl!” with a link to the actress in the dress.

Perhaps this means that Carey will be a part of Livia’s 2012 Green Carpet Challenge? We hope so!
