Earlier this month, Ashley Judd tweeted a plea to her followers to not support Ringling Bros. or other animal circuses. Now, Kesha has joined in the tweets for Ringling’s animals.

Kesha tweeted yesterday, “Join @peta & boycott elephant abusers @RinglingTweets in ur city! Learn what happens behind the scenes&how u can help: http://bit.ly/xzND38.” She linked to PETA’s website ‘Ringling Beats Animals,’ which provides details and footage of their undercover Ringling investigations.

Ringling Bros. is facing a storm of animal cruelty accusations and, most recently, paid a record $270,000 to the USDA to settle alleged Animal Welfare Act violations. Animal organizations continue their campaigns against the circus along with celeb supporters including Sarah SilvermanOlivia Munn, Jillian Michaels, and Pink.

The Traveling Exotic Animals Protection Act has also been introduced to ban the use of exotic animals in traveling circuses. Bob Barker and Jorja Fox were in Washington to launch the bill.
