Starting tonight, First Lady Michelle Obama hits Los Angeles – with appearances set for both “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “Ellen”.

According to the LA Times, Obama is expected to talk about her life in the White House, her fitness initiative for children called “Let’s Move!” and her upcoming book, “American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America”.

Her gardening book was initially scheduled to be released April 10th, but will now debut on May 1st.

“Through telling the story of the White House kitchen garden, Mrs. Obama will explore in American Grown how increased access to healthy, affordable food can promote better eating habits and improve health of families and communities across America,” the publisher said in an announcement last year.

The Daily Meal reports that the 256-page hardcover book will retail for $30 (Amazon has it for $20) and also include “personal anecdotes, recipes, and photographs from Quentin Bacon (who has shot for Mario Batali and Ina Garten).”

You can catch Michelle tonight on Leno and Thursday on Ellen.
