Tomorrow night, CBS officially kicks off a revival of the news series “Person to Person”, a program that was first hosted by the late Edward R. Murrow and took viewers into the homes of icons like John and Jacqueline Kennedy, Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart, and Elizabeth Taylor.
The modern version will do much of the same, with George Clooney, Jon Bon Jovi, and billionaire Warren Buffett the first celebrities to participate.
While Clooney’s most famous abode is likely his luxury manse in Lake Como, Italy, the actor also has a 7,000 square foot home in Studio City, California. That’s where the “Person to Person” cameras found him – and the contents of his fridge.
“There is a lady that makes salads for me and some sort of a juice thing,” he tells the cameras. “One of my New Year’s resolutions was to eat better and to do one of those cleanses. Really glad I did that.”
Looking in, it’s easy to see that George is really serious about eating better. Must be nice to have someone else prepare it all for you! He also recently revealed during the Golden Globe Awards that he’s dropped alcohol for a bit.
“I’ve made a little New Year’s deal that I wouldn’t drink for a while… I’m giving my liver a chance to catch back up,” he told reporters.
As you’ll see below, there’s also a nice snapshot of the actor and his new shelter dog Einstein. (You can read all about that story here.)
Check out a promo for the new series, airing tomorrow evening at 8PM E/T on CBS, below.
