Actor and rocker Jared Leto was apparently quite miffed that someone would say he was wearing real fur. The vegan 30 Seconds to Mars singer took to his twitter account to address any false rumors about what he was wearing.

He tweeted, “To whom it may concern, of course its FAKE FUR. I would never wear REAL fur. Ever. Not my thing. Happy Valentines day. XO”

We love how he drives his point home, and says that “of course” it’s fake fur. As if any other option is ludicrous. Many stars still do put on pelts. Perhaps the singer’s enthusiasm for animals which catch on. He’s known for his “out there” fashion choices, so it’s nice to know that they are fur-free.

Leto isn’t the only band member to make ethical choices. In 2010 he was quoted saying that the entire band was vegan. He joked, “Well, there was a time when we used to sacrifice goats, but then we all became vegans, so we’ve been sacrificing tofu before the shows!”

Jeremy Corbyn’s Vegan “Process”

When we reject human injustice, nobody needs to go on a “journey” to get to that point. Where animals are concerned, we’re all too eager to pack the car, don the sunglasses and go for ride before we see the truth of what has been in front of us the entire time.
