Known in Hollywood as the sustainable power-couple, Ed and Rachelle Begley are now giving us a peek inside their newest project. The Begley’s will be attempting to build North America’s greenest, most sustainable home in Los Angeles and will be taking us along for the ride with the launch of a new web series called “On Begley Street”. However, there is one catch – they need $25,000 to do so.

Through Kickstarter, the Begley’s are attempting to raise $25,000 which will be used to air the first season of the show and, of course, to promote sustainable living. “On Begley Street” is already underway, with production scheduled for the ten episodes to begin in late February/early March.

“We want ‘On Begley Street’ to be funny and inspiring,” Rachelle said in a press release. “Sustainable or ‘Green’ living — whatever you want to call it — is actually a lot of fun. It’s healthy, keeps the environment safe for the future, and it makes you feel good.”

“On Begley Street” promises to be “laugh-out-loud funny” while also being an educational tool for many of the DIYers out there. The Begley’s are attemtping for LEED platinum status of the new home. If they hit their funding goal, the series is set to wrap-up production mid 2012.
