PETA is taking their sexiest vegetarian contest to a new level. The animal rights group recently launched its 2012 Sexiest Vegetarian Next Door challenge for every vegan and vegetarian out there to enter.

If you’re an avid vegetarian or vegan who remains committed to animals and your eating habits, then you can become the next winner. One male and one female will be chosen, and whoever collects the most votes wins a trip for two to Hawaii, along with this celebrated title.

Entry closes on March 26 at 12 p.m. EST, so be sure to enter. Voting will open to the public on April 2 to help determine the finalists, consisting of 10 females and 10 males. You can then vote for the official winners starting on April 23 and lend a hand in the crowning. Whoever wins will officially become the Sexiest Vegetarian Next Door on May 14.

This isn’t the first time PETA has held such a contest. Since 2001, the organization has chosen one female celeb and one male celeb as PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarian Alive. Russell Brand and Kristen Wiig achieved the title in 2011. Click here to see past winners.

Good luck to everyone that enters and may the best vegan and/or vegetarian win!

Stop calling vegan food “cruelty-free”

Many vegans proudly proclaim that their food is “cruelty-free” as though issues of justice and injustice begin and end with our use of nonhuman animals.

fight

Verbally abusing your vegan friends isn’t edgy, it’s just being a bully

If you’re a vegan who has had to deal with this, and especially if you come from a background of being abused in other ways, you are absolutely not alone
