Girls still want to have fun, and there’s little else that’s more fun than saving animals’ lives. Just ask Cyndi Lauper.

The pop icon, known for her philanthropic work with the MAC Viva Glam Campaign and her own True Colors Fund, has signed up to be a spokesperson for the North Shore Animal League America’s pet adoption Tour For Life campaign.

The Tour For Life campaign will utilize three mobile rescue and adoption units and tour the U.S. throughout March and April, promoting pet adoption.

Lauper encourages animal lovers to adopt shelter pets, saying “There are so many beautiful and healthy animals in shelters, making the responsible choice an easy one – animal lovers can show their true colours by adopting a pet and saving a life.”
