After seeing a friend looking fabulous on a vegan diet, Carrie Underwood said to herself, “What’s holding me back?”

Turns out, not much. After spending years as a devoted vegetarian, the country star is now 95% vegan.

She told Self Magazine about her dietary choices, “My veganism is based on a concern about where my food is coming from. In my perfect world, I’d have webcams wherever food is processed so I’d know how clean it is.”

While the singer has sworn off animal flesh forever, she would still consider adding eggs and dairy back in if she raised the animals herself. She said, “I’ll never eat meat again, because I look and feel better without it, but if I could raise my own cows and chickens and produce my own eggs and cheese, it would be awesome! The food would taste better, because the animals would be happy!”

Perhaps Underwood would drink milk if she had her own cows, but maybe after seeing the calf being born, she’d have a change of heart and let the little guy drink the milk instead of taking it for herself. After all, it is meant for baby cows, right?

Cows still produce more milk than baby drinks and as a cow farmer she could let calf wean 6 mos if she wanted to. Raw Milk is healthy and people are healing on it, unless allergic. To each his own, different blood types and metabolic types. Some people do Not thrive on vegan and need at least Eggs back in their diet.

Everything you worte is a fallacious notion. Cows milk is for a baby cow and that is it. Culture being what it is, it is my guess that you would not drink secretion from the glands of your own species, what argument can you put forward to support drinking cow secretion over that of your own speices ? Why not dog, cat, swine or skunk milk, what qualifies the bovine ? None of it is for human consumption and the only reason you believe it be is because of incorrect influences.
“Some people do not thrive on a vegan diet and need at least eggs in their diet”
Then they are not vegan and in need of a working moral compass, because no one who is vegan would support the abject cruelty all poutry endure. Secondly a balanced diet can easily be acheived without any animal protien leaving one feeling lacking of nothing.

With all due respect Carrie Underwood is not vegan by defintion of the word. The word vegan was coined by Donald Watson in 1944 and the doctrine is that man should live without exploiting animals. C Underwood by her own defintion is doing it for self serving health resaons therefore it is my humble opinion that she is as much vegan as she is pumpkin pie.

What About: “No-Kill” Eggs?

The reason for these advancements is not a sense of justice – because that can only mean going vegan – but is primarily driven by economics.

Don’t blame vegans for the shame you feel about using animals

The shame Carly Lewis claims veganism casts over her is more likely the ghosts of moral uncertainty, spectres that are more likely fish than cows, wondering how morality can possibly be used as ammunition in favour of murder.
