We’re sure a lot of New Yorkers are thrilled that Tim Tebow has been traded to the Jets. But for those of us who aren’t necessarily sports fans, there is still exciting news. Tebow is planning on expanding his charity’s reach to the big apple.

The Tim Tebow Foundation posted on its facebook page, “God has opened a new door and we look forward to adding New York to the list of cities that we serve!”

The website hasn’t been updated yet, but it looks like New York is going to be joining places like Washington D.C., the Philippines, Bangladesh, Haiti and Denver, CO among others. All are cities and countries helped by the foundation.

The foundation’s outreach initiatives includes meeting with children who have life threatening diseases, helping children throughout the developing world who suffer from treatable physical disabilities, creating playrooms in children’s hospitals around the world, and helping a children’s orphanage in the Philippines.
