Tom Hanks' Personalized Voicemail Raises $26K for Rainforest Fund
What would you pay to have the voice of Tom Hanks greet your friends and family?
For one bidder Tuesday evening at Sting’s Rainforest Fund gala, $26,000 seemed about right. According to StarPulse, Hanks offered to leave a personalized greeting in the voice of any of the characters he’s made famous – from Forest Gump to Woody from “Toy Story”.
“I’ll do your whole menu,” he shouted during bidding. “Press 1 for Parts and Service! Press 2 for Speedy Delivery!”
According to the Daily News, Hanks’ voicemail went for more than a meet-and-greet with President Clinton or VIP tickets to a future Sting concert.
You can see some bootleg video of what went down inside the event below.
