Lady Gaga may sing about a “bad romance,” but things with her and her boyfriend seem to be moving forward.

The singer and philanthropist recently gave her guy, “Vampire Diaries” star Taylor Kinney, a stray cat to keep him company while she’s away on her 110-date world tour.

Sources say Gaga gave cat-loving Kinney the feline so “he can love it for ever and really cherish it.” Gaga also wanted to give the stray, whom she’s already calling Polly, a forever home.

The couple, who’ve been together since last summer, are discussing starting a family together. An insider says Gaga “wants everything with him – love, marriage and a family. But she’s set on becoming a mother before they think about anything else and she’s talking about giving birth in the next year.”

A stray cat is a good start.
