Miley Cyrus is taking her gluten free diet very seriously and PETA is helping by contributing to her healthy eating habits.

Today, Cyrus tweeted her excitement and thanks to PETA for sending her a cookbook. “Thank you @peta for my lovely gluten free vegan cook book! Some amazing recipes!” Now the actress/singer can expand her cooking skills.

This isn’t the first time that we’ve heard of Cyrus’s gluten free eating habits. Last week, she made headlines for her thin figure. Cyrus was even accused of being anorexic.

However, Cyrus disputed claims of anorexia on her Twitter page. “For everyone calling me anorexic, I have a gluten and lactose allergy. It’s not about weight it’s about health. Gluten is crapppp anyway!”

The 19-year-old is known for sticking up for herself and others. In December, she spoke out about women and the pressure to look a certain way. She tweeted, “By calling girls like me fat this is what you’re doing to other people. I love MYSELF & if you could say the same.”

We’re glad that Miley is doing her best to stay healthy by avoiding gluten and dairy. That vegan cookbook will certainly come in handy to keep her fit and protect animals at the same time.

All I know is that I was in lots of pain. Stomach cramps, pains all over, bad headaches, and exhausted! I was so sick and tired that it became hard to get out of bed in the morning.

Why Vegetarianism Makes No Sense From A Moral Perspective

I don’t consider my years as a vegetarian as a stepping-stone or prerequisite to veganism

I hope I win the ‘Pig Farmers of Tomorrow’ contest I entered (I’m vegan)

I think I’ll likely have the most interest in pigs of anyone applying, anyway.

Hopefully Jon & Tracey Stewart use their new farm for vegan education

They’ve promised classes on caring for animals and sustainable agriculture, so vegan 101 would be a great place to start.
