In celebration of Earth Month, several celebs are donating their remnants and trinkets to a campaign called “Mess to Masterpiece Auction”, which is presented by Glad Black Bag to benefit Keep America Beautiful.

Made from the trash of Lauren Conrad, Amy Smart, Jesse Eisenberg and several others, the four custom mosaics were created by artist Jason Mecier. Each is also made from the items collected from Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Clean-Up events.

According to GLAD, the idea is to encourage us to rethink what is done with items that get broken in our lives on a daily basis. The upcycled pieces are available through auction on eBay from April 16 – 26, 2012 and will further assist Keep America Beautiful with engaging individuals to take greater responsibility on improving their communities. Currently the pieces are still affordable and range from $100 to $150 so check them out!

Criticize veganism, but don’t discredit it

Oppressive and harmful behaviour has no place in a movement rooted in anti-oppression.

Filing a case in the courts is a time-consuming and expensive affair and, sadly, doomed to fail because, by and large, the laws of the land reflect the views of the people.
