Is Lady Gaga’s New Meat Dress Made from Fabric?

Yesterday, we reported that Lady Gaga was retreating back to her old habits by sporting a new and improved meat dress, but now there is speculation that her dress isn’t actually made from meat.

According to TooFab, if you look at the two dresses side by side there is clearly a difference. The new dress on the left, as seen above, has a more tailored look and when compared to the original, which is obviously made from raw meat, it’s “just fabric treated to look like it.”

Gaga was first spotted wearing her new meat dress while performing in Tokyo and once again caused quite a stir. The first time she donned the original raw meat outfit was at the 2010 MTV Music Awards.

Even if her dress is designed from actual fabric, that might not make animal lovers, vegans and vegetarians feel better. It seems she still wants to wear a look that shows off meat like it’s a piece of fashion.

Regarding her original meat runaway look, the singer told Ellen DeGeneres “. . . if we don’t fight for our rights pretty soon we’re going to have as much rights as the meat on our own bones. And, I am not a piece of meat.”

As someone who is all for equal rights and who likes to make statements in her fashion and music, do you think Gaga is going too far?
