TOMS founder Blake Mycoskie and Lenny Kravitz met each other back in 2010 and apparently hit it off immediately. Their instant friendship led to the creation of new designs by Kravitz for the classic TOMS shoe with woven prints, embroidery, and even lyrics from one of his songs.

According to the TOMS blog, Kravitz has been a longtime fan of the brand, “not only for the quality of the product, but also for their social message and commitment to providing shoes to people in need,” he said.

Apparently Kravitz’s daughter, Zoe, is a huge fan of TOMS and encouraged her dad to jump on board. According to the Electronic Urban Report, he has banned street shoes in his house and now stocks pairs of TOMS for guests to wear when they visit his home.
