Time Lapse video of space from the ISS

Remember those time-lapse videos of Earth from the International Space Station that we’ve gushed about several times? Thanks to one clever Vimeo user named “The Video Artist” (aka Knate Myers) they’ve been combined into a new stunning short spanning four minutes.

Set to an arrangement from the soundtrack to the movie “Sunshine”, the results are nearly tear-inducing beautiful; with half your mind convinced that what you’re seeing can’t be real. Auroras, stars, cities, and lightning storms all converge to plant you firmly in your seat.

As one person commented: “It’s about as close as we’ll get to seeing the world through Superman’s eyes.”
