“TODAY Show” coanchor Al Roker has a new girl in his life. A 10-week-old rescue pup named Pepper who he brought home from the Main Line Animal Rescue.

Roker tweeted, “Say hello Pepper, our newest Roker. She’s a rescue pup from Main Line Animal Rescue.” He continued, “This is the kind of dog I used to make fun of … not a real dog. And swore we wouldn’t get one. God works in mysterious ways.”

We’re not sure what he means by a “real” dog, but perhaps he had always imagined himself with a bigger canine. No matter what the size, based on these pictures he posted, we’re pretty sure that Pepper has stolen his heart.

Roker chose the shelter he adopted Pepper from well. According to the website, this Pennsylvania facility adopts out over 1000 animals per year. They were also the group that put up the billboard in Chicago asking Oprah to do a show on puppy mills. And she did.
