Britney Spears isn’t the first celebrity we think of when it comes to green living. But perhaps that’s all about to change. The “X Factor USA” judge was spotted on Sunday buzzing around in a Mercedes-Benz Smart car.

These cars feature 100% recyclable body panels, a lithium-ion battery and when they are old and done for, they are up to 85% recyclable. Pretty impressive.

According to the Daily Mail, this is the first time Britney has driven in months. We wonder what inspired her to go with a tiny eco-friendly car. In the past she’s been spotted in a Mercedes-Benz SL65 Roadster, CLK350 Convertible and even a MINI Cooper, but this is her first green appearance as far as we know. We hope it’s something she sticks with and even expands on. Perhaps there will even be some composting and solar panels in the pop star’s future. (We can dream.)

Trading beef for beans is not a solution, veganism is

Please do substitute beef for beans, but also have tofu instead of turkey, carrots instead of chicken, and I think you see where I’m going.

Guys, extortion isn’t an effective form of vegan advocacy

Assuming we can extort people into respecting the lives of others makes no sense.
