The LGBT community certainly has a well-funded friend. To support marriage equality Brad Pitt has just donated $100,000 to HRC, the Human Rights Campaign.

According to People, his funds will go to marriage equality campaigns currently taking place in Maine, Maryland, Minnesota and Washington State.

Pitt wrote to HRC supporters in an email, “It’s unbelievable to me that people’s lives and relationships are literally being voted on in a matter of days. If you’re like me, you don’t want to have to ask yourself on the day after the election, what else could I have done?”

Kudos to Pitt for putting his sizable voice, influence and wallet out there to make marriage equality a right for all.
