It’s always wonderful to end the week with stories like this one.

Earlier this week, a puppy was abandoned in traffic on a busy street in the Los Angeles area. Karla Kauffman happened to be driving by when she noticed the dog and immediately came to is aide.

“Look at this sweet puppy face,” she tweeted. “Victim of drop and drive! Can u imagine? Please let us know if u can give her a home.”

Only a few minutes later, country music star LeAnn Rimes, a friend of Kauffman’s, tweeted her interest in the rescue pup. Needless to say, the 30-year-old and the 5-lb., approximately 8-month-old dog hit it off.

“We ALL fell in love at first sight,” Rimes writes on her blog, with her son deciding to name the pup Eveie. “Even our doggies welcomed her instantly.”

“She’s brought a ton of joy into our home in just the few hours she’s been with us,” Rimes adds. “Eveie has a new home and family and we have a new love!”

From deadly LA traffic to the loving arms of a new family all in one day. That’s one happy ending we love hearing about!
