If you haven’t had lunch yet, this story might make you lose your appetite. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Ibrahim Langoo, a 19-year-old student at Colchester Institute in the United Kingdom, was munching on a piece of fried chicken in a Gladiator box meal at Kentucky Fried Chicken and, as he describes, found a “wrinkled brain” inside one, The Sun reports.

Here Langoo explains what happens, “I have a habit of picking the chicken off the bone with my fingers and as I pulled the second piece apart, I saw this horrible wrinkled foreign body. I threw it down onto my tray immediately. It looked like a brain. I suddenly felt grim and really sick.

“I couldn’t bring myself to pick the lump up so I went to the serving counter to complain. It was about 1 p.m. and pretty hectic in the restaurant and as it was so busy none of the staff helped me.”

After analyzing the photo and expressing apologies to Langoo, KFC thinks the organ is a kidney. If you’re stomach just churned, join the group.

Even vegan Russell Simmons found the unfortunate mishap disgusting and shared the story on Twitter, “this is why i’m vegan!!! before you eat lunch you MUST see this –> http://bit.ly/WuqGTZ.” [sic]

If apologies aren’t enough, the fast-food chain has offered Langoo more opportunities to eat such appetizing chicken by providing him vouchers. Something tells us he won’t be back anytime soon.

“I was grossed out by the fact that I could so easily have eaten it without realizing. I just wanted to get out of KFC as quickly as I could. I still feel really sick and disgusted by it all now.

“KFC say they are sorry and are concerned to hear of my experience as they have ’rigorous standards’ but I’m still not impressed. I never want to eat KFC again – in Colchester or anywhere else. I’ll eat chicken at home, where I can see how it’s been prepared.”

Warning: here is the vomit-inducing photo.

I first heard about this on a link aggregate site–they put it better than I would have thought of: “Man finds chicken part in a bucket of chicken parts.”

It looks like it’s attached to the spine or something. I doubt it’s the kidneys. Probably a tumor. I wouldn’t be surprised knowing how those poor birds are raised.

  • oh cmon like you never had eaten soft organs b4 looks yummy!

Veganism deserves better than constantly being considered something to be bribed, dared or loosely entered into.

Month one of “the year of the vegan”

News outlets are abuzz with the promise of new vegan products, celebs, and services and how that is somehow a fresh affirmation that our world is one turn closer to being fully free from animal use.

What About: “No-Kill” Eggs?

The reason for these advancements is not a sense of justice – because that can only mean going vegan – but is primarily driven by economics.

Don’t blame vegans for the shame you feel about using animals

The shame Carly Lewis claims veganism casts over her is more likely the ghosts of moral uncertainty, spectres that are more likely fish than cows, wondering how morality can possibly be used as ammunition in favour of murder.
