We’ve been waiting to hear the first word on “The East”, a new eco-suspense film starring Ellen Page and Alexander Skarsgard. We’re happy to report that the reviews coming in from Sundance are giving it a thumbs up.

The Hollywood Reporter writes, “A social-conscience espionage film that has actually thought about its “eco-terrorism” themes beyond figuring out how to mine them for suspense, The East sends a straight-laced overachiever undercover with a violent eco-vigilante group. Zal Batmanglij and cowriter/star Brit Marling deliver a consistently tense, morally alert story that has plenty of box-office appeal.”

Check out the trailer for what looks like a thought provoking (and scary) film about eco-terrorism.

Exploitation for art is no worse than exploitation for dinner

It always seems to come back to a confused juror deciding when animal use is justified.

Humane Society Serves Pork to Save Dogs…WTF?!

All animals matter morally, equally.
