“Nikita” star Maggie Q is partnering with PETA and stripping down to her skivvies to show how we eat can better the planet, save animals and battle climate change.

As a vegan, Maggie feels she can protect the environment, and so can you. She is asking everyone to “Fight Climate Change with Diet Change” and go veg. By eliminating meat, not only can we fight the meat industry – one of the top contributors to environmental destruction – but also better our world, as a whole.

PETA says “Raising animals for food damages the environment. Whether it’s the overuse of resources, fossil-fuel emissions, massive water and air pollution, or soil erosion, the meat and dairy industry is wreaking havoc on the Earth.”

Maggie feels the same way and says in the following video, “There’s really nothing tied to this issue that isn’t sort of dark and needs to be sort of fixed, in a big way. There are so many issues tied to the meat industry: social, environmental, humanitarian – all of them. I know that when I’m eating that I’m not hurting the planet; I’m not hurting other people on this planet; I’m not hurting animals; and I’m not hurting nature.”

She adds, “Truly, the weight of the world depends on us. It depends on our choices and I that wish people would pick up a book, or watch a documentary, and understand that their choices can really make a difference.”

I don’t think we could have said it better. What a badass!
