Los Angeles vegans are about to have boasting rights to the home of what is sure to be the next big vegan restaurant. Celebrity chef Tal Ronnen is set to open Crossroads, a plant based restaurant and bar, this March.
Known for his cookbook The Conscious Cook, catering Ellen and Portia’s wedding, and Oprah’s 21 day vegan cleanse, Ronnen already has a steady and loyal following.
According to Eater LA, “Crossroads will manifest as an upscale, white tablecloth-type eatery serving Ronnen’s Mediterranean small plate vegan menu.” Don’t worry. Prices range between $8 and $14 per plate so going out to dinner with friends won’t break the bank.
For those interested in the bar, organic beers, farm to glass cocktails and biodynamic wines will be available.
Ronnen fans might have been disappointed when his venture with Ellen, Portia and Chrissie Hynde was scrapped last July. We’re thrilled to see that he’s moving forward with another vegan restaurant, bringing his delicious food to the masses.
We can’t wait to see the menu. Perhaps some of the recipes from Ronnen’s cookbook will make the list. But, whether he merges the old with the new, or comes up with entirely new creations, we know Crossroads will be a place vegans and omnivores will equally love.
