Singer and international star Ricky Martin announced on twitter late last night that he went vegetarian seven weeks ago.

Martin tweeted, “7 weeks on a #vegetarian diet! I feel amazing! #NoFish #NoRedMeat #NoChicken”.

We love that the singer is feeling so good on his new diet. Perhaps that’s because as a vegetarian he’s reduced his intake of saturated fats and other artery clogging foods. We hope he tweets more about his new lifestyle and includes info like what he eats and his favorite faux meat substitutes. Or, perhaps he’s more of a not processed whole foods kind of guy.

Either way, we know that animals, people and the planet are all benefitting from his compassionate choice. Go Ricky!
