Back in October, Michael Vick admitted that he has a new dog around, drawing criticism from those who aren’t so quick to forget his dog fighting days.
Vick released a statement in response to the outcry, saying “I understand the strong emotions by some people about our family’s decision to care for a pet. As a father, it is important to make sure my children develop a healthy relationship with animals.” He added, “I will continue to honor my commitment to animal welfare and be an instrument of positive change.”
Well, the “instrument of positive change” and new pup Angel were recently spotted at a PetsMart training class, according to Crossing Broad where you can see additional photos.
Angel, who Vick has said is “well cared for and loved,” is a Belgian Malinois.
Since serving time for his dog fighting operation, Vick has spoken out by teaming up with the Humane Society of the United States for anti-animal cruelty ads and addressing Congress in support of legislation against animal fighting. Do you believe he’s really on the dogs’ team now?
