WATCH: Ke$ha and HSUS Need Your Help to Protect Animals
Humane Society International ambassador, Ke$ha, is hoping to make 2013 the year of the animal. No, not the year of her fans (who she affectionately calls animals), but the furry, feathered and finned kind.
In a new video for HSUS the pop star is urging the public to contact their congressman to ensure that animal protection bills currently being considered will pass. They include the phasing out of chimps in invasive research, cracking down on spectators who attend and bring children to dog and cockfights, improving the treatment of egg-laying hens and addressing the criminal abuse of Tennessee Walking Horses.
Watch the video and then, do as Ke$ha says. Improve the lives of animals by helping to create laws that will protect them. Contact your representative about these pieces of legislation. Then ask your friends to do the same. Those two minute emails or phone calls could end up helping millions of animals.
