This Earth Day marks the 21th year that Google has created some kind of special logo to mark the occasion. As you can see below, the creativity has really blossomed as technology (and bandwidth) have evolved to allow more interactive scenes.

Following up on last year’s first ever “live action” logo (which featured a time lapse of flowers growing into a “Google,” the search giant has released another interactive day and night scene that allows you to cause the heavens to rain, flowers to bloom, and wake up some bears and beavers. (Wait long enough and even the fireflies make an appearance.)

Below, I’ve updated our one sheet of Google’s green logos dating back to 2001. Enjoy – and Happy Earth Day!

Criticize veganism, but don’t discredit it

Oppressive and harmful behaviour has no place in a movement rooted in anti-oppression.
