One of the best vegan holidays is upon us. This Saturday, June 29th, is Vegan Pizza Day! It’s a day to celebrate delicious vegan pizza in any way you can: make some, buy some, eat some, share some! This year’s Vegan Pizza Day is brought to you by Teese Vegan Cheese,, Field Roast Grain Meat, Vegan Cuts, and Gallo Lea Pizza Kits. Ready to get cookin’? Here’s a little inspiration to get you started.

Heather and Jenny of SporkFoods teamed up with Go Veggie Foods to create 5 fun pizza recipes. Stuck in the same ol’ mushroom-and-olive routine? Mix it up with Spicy Hawaiian Style, or Mediterranean Pizza with Sauteed Spinach, Portobellos, and Pine Nuts. (Psst… There’s a Coupons tab on the Go Veggie website!)

If you’re looking for a healthy, plant-strong pizza, Engine 2 has a couple of recipes on their website that fit the bill. Try out their hummus-veggie pizza or Pavlov’s Polenta Pizza.

Kathy Patalsky of always whips up colorful and fun recipes. Check out her pesto cashew ricotta for your next pizza. Or try her kid-friendly Silly Sweet Potato Pizza. Add some green to your pie and try Kathy’s Cheesy Broccoli Pizza.

If you aren’t familiar with Angela Liddon’s site, Oh She Glows, please get acquainted! She has heaps of artistically crafted pizzas that you must try at home!

Vegan Cuts is offering a Vegan Pizza Day Party Pack, making it darn near effortless to pull together a pizza party!

For a sweeter pizza, Chocolate Covered Katie is your gal! Check out her breakfast/dessert fruit pizza or click this round up for a variety of sweet possibilities, like Cake Batter Pizza or Cinnamon-Raisin Pizza! CCK also has a recipe for Melty Pizza Hummus. Yes, please!

Stock your freezer with vegan pizzas from Amy’s Kitchen, Daiya, and Tofurky!

Are you hungry yet? Be sure to check out the Vegan Pizza Day Facebook page to learn more about the day, share your favorite recipes and toppings, and check out any events that might be happening near you. Bon appetite!
