Today, Morgan Freeman is delivering books to a school in Mississippi. Bono will be meditating on peace and unity. Sir Richard Branson will be mentoring young entrepreneurs. Though no one needs any special reason to help others, these celebrities, as well as many more people around the world, are dedicating their time to worthy causes in honor of Nelson Mandela’s birthday.

People around the globe are sending their warmest birthday wishes to Nelson Mandela, who is 95 years old today. From the Clintons to Forest Whitaker, Naomi Campbell to the crew of the International Space Station, well-known people from all walks of life gathered to not only send their happy wishes to the longtime peace activist, but to encourage everyone to do something for others today, Mandela Day.

Not sure what to do? Check out the Mandela Day website for ideas and inspiring videos. Between that and Mandiba’s legacy, may you find endless motivation to help others today and every day.
