After an early morning wake-up call from her best friend, Mayim Bialik started her morning on Emmy Nomination Day, the day the nominees were announced. After going back and forth on whether to keep refreshing Google for the nomination list, Bialik heard from her publicist and got the good news. How did she choose to celebrate? With vegan donuts!

Bialik and her children had been visiting her mother-in-law in San Jose that day. As she wrote in her kveller.com post, “On the way to the airport, I insisted my mother-in-law drive me to Psycho Doughnuts, a crazy and sort of politically incorrect doughnut place that makes “crazy” doughnuts, including vegan choices.” [Psycho Donuts also excitedly shared the link to Bialik’s article on their Facebook page!]

To share with her children, she picked out two donuts: one with Oreos and thick blue and white icing, and another with Rice Krispies, peanut butter, and chocolate. Sounds like a super-sweet way to celebrate an Emmy nomination! Congrats, Mayim!

I guess Mayim didn’t hear about the whole horrible foie gras giveaway psycho donuts did. 🙁

Veld donates money to farm animals and also serves them

Lest we be confused that their giant V logo stands for anything other than Veld.

Trading beef for beans is not a solution, veganism is

Please do substitute beef for beans, but also have tofu instead of turkey, carrots instead of chicken, and I think you see where I’m going.

Guys, extortion isn’t an effective form of vegan advocacy

Assuming we can extort people into respecting the lives of others makes no sense.
