James Cameron did a pretty decent job recreating the Titanic in all of her glory for the 1997 blockbuster of the same name, but there’s nothing like seeing original photos of the great vessel colorized with today’s technology.

Russian photo editing pro Anton Logvynenko took old photographs of the ship in various stages of development and added color to them for his project Titanic in Color.

Logvinenko actually launched the project last year to commemorate the 100 anniversary of the ship’s sinking – but his website is currently down. Check out some of the photos below – and visit Retronaut for the rest.
