Turning 90 years young this week, entertainer and animal rights activist, Bob Barker has some “food for thought” for everyone: go vegetarian for a healthy brain.
In his video for PETA, Barker says that he went vegetarian over 30 years ago and “almost immediately” felt healthier and more energetic. While eating vegetarian has him feeling good from head to toe, he highlights more of the “head” in the video, specifically how a plant-based diet prevents Alzheimer’s.
“Studies show that the more meat you eat, the greater your risk is of developing Alzheimer’s disease,” says Barker in the video. “That’s right: eating meat means that you have a much greater chance of losing your mind!”
Barker is living proof that, when it comes to a healthy vegetarian diet, the price is right!
