Trouble in paradise strikes again, as Hollywood darlings Kelly Osbourne and Matthew Mosshart have called it quits. According to “Us Weekly,” which first broke this story, Osbourne’s rep relayed the fact that the previously inseparable twosome ended their engagement on “amicable” terms.

“The pair continue to have nothing but the utmost respect for one another,” the rep assured in a statement obtained by “Us.” The rep also added, “Kelly is looking forward to a new year full of fresh beginnings.”

While it’s wonderful the former couple closed on a high note, we can’t help but be bummed for the “Fashion Police” star, as she was living every vegan girl’s dream: a plant-based chef for a future husband! Swoon! Talk about hitting the eco-eating jackpot.

As recently as August Osbourne was singing his praises, crediting Mosshart for her newfound healthy habits. She even gushed about the formerly foreign compassionate cuisine to CBS’s “The Talk:” “[Mosshart] has showed me a whole new sector of food I thought I’d never eat…and it’s yummy!”

Amen to that. What’s not so yummy is her potential return to less than stellar ethics. What will the E! host nosh on now, without her long-haired health hero paving the way? Only time will tell, but we’re rooting for her—and the animals and planet.

There’s always a silver lining to these sad situations, though, right? We’d dub the edible—err, eligible—bachelor status of one Matthew Mosshart a pretty inspiring upside. Single ladies, it’s on. Let the best veggie girl win.
