If you didn’t love Ed Sheeran already for his voice, you’re about to love him for his big heart. The singer just rescued a one month old kitten who was about to be put down. (Obviously, Sheeran needs to be added to our list of celebrity men who love their cats.)

Thankfully, the star got there just in time to save this kitty’s life. He tweeted to his 8.7 million followers:

Ed Sheeran’s kindness saved Graham’s life, but we need millions more heroes to step up and adopt a shelter animal. In the United States between 5 and 7 million companion animals enter shelters each year. Only half of those make it out alive. We hope others will see Sheeran’s kindness, and decide that today is the perfect day to help someone like Graham.
