One of the Internet’s most famous cats is giving back to a cause close to her heart. Lil Bub announced in a press conference last week that she will be working with the ASPCA to raise money for special needs animals like herself.

“Together we are raising money for organizations that provides extra help for extra special pets like myself,” meowed the adorable American short hair at the ASPCA headquarters.

The grants will provide funds to rescue organizations that support animals who have birth defects, disabilities resulting from mistreatment and other issues that make them harder to adopt like being an FIV positive kitty. The money will be raised from direct donations and sales made at the Lil Bub’s store on her official website.

The cause is a familiar one to Lil Bub who suffers from  a myriad of disabilities including extreme dwarfism, having extra toes on all paws and a shorter lower jaw that forces her to keep her mouth constantly open and her tongue sticking out. Curiously enough, all of Lil Bub’s “defects” are what have made her one of the cutest and well-known cats on the planet. She’s hoping the grants will help other animals like herself find a mom and dad like she’s found her “dude” who treats her like a queen, as evidenced in the green eyed cutie’s blog.
