Cat Cafe with Adoptable Cats to Open for Limited Time in NYC
Cat ladies (and gents) rejoice! A cafe is opening in New York that will totally indulge your slight obsession with felines.
The first ever cat cafe in the city will open on April 24th at 168 Bowery and operate until Sunday April 27th. The cafe is sponsored by Purina One and will serve coffee provided by a Brooklyn-based craft coffee roasting company.
With your cup of Joe, you get complimentary cuddles from cats from the North Shore Animal League, a rescue organization in Long Island, who will be at the cafe, roaming free and hanging out with the cat loving customers. Petting, playing and snuggling are all encouraged and if a customer just happens to fall in love, the cats will be available for adoption so they can take their new buddy home.
The pop up cat cafe will be the first in the US. KitTea Cafe, a similar operation, is scheduled to open in San Francisco later this year.
Coffee and the company of kitties? Sounds purrrrfect!
