Music royalty, Jay-Z and Beyonce, were spotted leaving a vegan-friendly restaurant in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The “Crazy In Love” couple started a 22-day vegan challenge in December and pledged to go plant-based until Christmas Day. Jay-Z said about the diet change, “One day before my 44th birthday I will embark on a 22 Days challenge to go completely vegan, or as I prefer to call it, plant-based!! This all began a few months back when a good friend and vegan challenged me to embrace a ‘plant-based breakfast’ everyday. It was surprisingly easier on me than I thought…”

Beyonce and Jay-Z reportedly enjoyed their stay on planet plant-based but did not strictly stay vegan. The couple broke their 22-day vegan challenge with seafood, but they decided to remain mostly plant-based after all. The two superstars enjoyed a meat-free meal on Tuesday at the Crossroads restaurant in Los Angeles, a Mediterranean-themed and vegan-friendly business run by Chef Tal Ronnen. It is a favorite amongst many plant-based celebrities.

We hope to see more celebrities embracing veganism and supporting vegan businesses.

Crossroads is 100% vegan I thought.. unless they changed recently? Vegan-friendly implies that it’s a regular restaurant with vegan options.
