Musician John Legend and model wife Chrissy Teigen’s family just expanded! The married couple have welcomed a three-legged pup into their home.

The adopted French bulldog, named Penny, hails from South Carolina, and as Teigen told People at Spike TV’s Guys’ Choice Awards Saturday, “She’s a little tripod. She has been abused, and we are so excited to welcome her to the family.”

The “All of Me” singer was to appear alongside his wife at Spike TV’s award show, but he couldn’t make it as he was busy rescuing Penny and bringing her home to her new family, which also includes two other bulldogs — Pippa and Puddy.

Legend and Teigen continue to showcase their excitement for Penny via Twitter and Instagram by posting photo after photo. Teigen elaborated about Penny’s former family by tweeting, “I won’t get too into it but let’s just say her first family were buttheads and we are happy to shower her with love for the rest of time!” She even called her “a little light of energy.”

Congrats to the couple on their latest addition!
