Why did Carrie Underwood cross the road? To save a bird, of course!

Recently, the acclaimed singer and animal activist rescued a bird with a broken wing. Now that’s the type of harmony we like to hear.

Underwood announced the rescue story on her Twitter page along with a photo, “Chased this birdie around the street yesterday to help-she had a broken wing. Thanks @WaldensPuddle for taking her!”

Waldens Puddle is a wildlife rehabilitation and education center in Tennessee, so hopefully they can get this beauty back into flying (and singing) shape.

Underwood’s husband also gave a helping hand by pulling over the car so Underwood could get out in the middle of traffic to save the bird. As she wrote on Twitter, “& thanks to my hubby for pulling over so I could grab her. Sorry to those who had to deal w/ a crazy lady chasing a bird in the turn lane!”

She’s a real-life superhero. Keep up the great rescue work!

Collaborating with animal exploiters won’t help animals

The two sides claim to both have the “health and well-being of animals” in mind in this partnership, but one likely said “after profitability” under their breath.

Exploitation for art is no worse than exploitation for dinner

It always seems to come back to a confused juror deciding when animal use is justified.

Humane Society Serves Pork to Save Dogs…WTF?!

All animals matter morally, equally.
