Vin Diesel has a new challenge for people to do now that they all have poured a bucket of ice water on themselves.

The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star is challenging people to ‘plant a tree for Groot.’

It started with Diesel being nominated to the ice bucket challenge by the movie’s director James Gunn. Last Monday, Diesel accepted the challenge and posed a new one on his Instagram account based on his character in the film.

“Yes, James Gunn, I accept the ALS ice bucket challenge to raise awareness for Lou Gehrig’s Disease but I raise you: plant a tree for Groot,” the actor said in the video while standing in a green area next to a young tree.

Three weeks before, Diesel posted another video on Instagram announcing he would plant a tree for Groot in honor of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ breaking records.

A man of few words (although not as few as his character Groot), Diesel never explained why people should follow his example and plant a tree but he did offer the hashtag ‘#PlantATreeForGroot’.

Gunn accepted the challenge a day later and so did some of Diesel’s fans.

Are you accepting it? The tree you plant might not dance awesomely like baby Groot but it will still do a ton of good for the planet.
