Looks like Beyonce really loved her vegan diet. So much so that the mega-star has announced plans to launch a home-delivery vegan meal service.

The “Drunk in Love” singer made the announcement last week that she will join forces with her trainer, exercise physiologist Marco Borges, in creating 22 Days Nutrition, which delivers plant-based food straight to your door.

We’re guessing that the name comes from the 22-day vegan challenge that Beyonce and her husband, Jay Z, participated in last year. At the time, Borges told Ecorazzi that the pair were “very open” to the new diet.

“They were excited about the challenge,” Borges said. “As a matter of fact, we had a conversation [several days in]: ‘I haven’t missed anything at all,’ was what they had to say. ‘I haven’t missed a single thing.'”

But Bey did start missing her seafood as Borges soon reported that the singer was eating seafood “here and there” during her the 22-day challenge and then afterwards. However, she does continue to incorporate plant-based foods in her diet.

In a statement, Beyonce said of her new partnership with Borges: “I am so grateful that I took the challenge and credit Marco with leading by example. He is the most energetic person I know and it’s all because of his decision to live a healthy lifestyle.  He came up with a great program to get people motivated to make better nutritional choices.  All you have to do is try.  If I can do it, anyone can.  I am excited to partner with him.”

Kudos for Beyonce for bringing the vegan diet to the forefront and for making it easier and more convenient for more people to try.

Even if she did wear a fur coat to a vegan restaurant that one time.

Veganism deserves better than constantly being considered something to be bribed, dared or loosely entered into.

Month one of “the year of the vegan”

News outlets are abuzz with the promise of new vegan products, celebs, and services and how that is somehow a fresh affirmation that our world is one turn closer to being fully free from animal use.

What About: “No-Kill” Eggs?

The reason for these advancements is not a sense of justice – because that can only mean going vegan – but is primarily driven by economics.

Vegandale Brewery offers the ultimate vegan night out

This brewpub helps veganism shed its stay-home-and-eat-tofu stereotype.

Don’t blame vegans for the shame you feel about using animals

The shame Carly Lewis claims veganism casts over her is more likely the ghosts of moral uncertainty, spectres that are more likely fish than cows, wondering how morality can possibly be used as ammunition in favour of murder.
