Hailee Steinfeld may have been apart of Taylor Swift‘s girl squad at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards, but the actress definitely stood out with her Jill Milan vegan Disc Clutch.

The animal friendly accessory was the perfect addition to the Oscar-nominated actress’ ensemble for the night. Not only did the Disc purse go well with the evening’s event (it was a show honoring music, after all), but the “Pitch Perfect 2” star was also dressed in a Stella McCartney creation. Seems like Steinfeld really digs the vegan look — and so do we!

“Hailee looked wonderful Sunday night, and the Disc Clutch was a great complement to her Stella McCartney jumpsuit,” said Jill Fraser, founder and CEO of Jill Milan, in a statement. “The Disc Clutch’s clean look went well with the lines of the rest of her outfit.”

Like all of Jill Milan products, the Disc Clutch is free of animal-based materials such as leather, fur and wool. In fact, the purse, which was handmade in Florence, Italy, was made entirely of recyclable Italian stainless steel.

Fraser, who is a longtime vegan and supporter of animal welfare, founded Jill Milan because she was unable to find high-quality, luxury handbags that were not made of leather or other animal-based materials. Steinfeld joins a long list of stylish A-listers like Jennifer Lawrence, Carrie Underwood and Kerry Washington, who’ve all sported a purse from the designer. It’s no wonder that Jill Milan was recently named Vegan Business of the Year by Vegans Are Cool.

Way to go, Hailee! We look forward to seeing more actresses wearing cruelty-free accessories and clothing on the red carpet!
