Animal lovers who love to laugh will surely want to check out Laughing For Animals, a comedy benefit for Woodstock Farm Sanctuary

Organized by Only Connect: Aligning for Animalsthe brainchild of our very own Nell Alk — the showcase will raise money for the sanctuary, which recently relocated to High Falls, N.Y. The funds will go towards the new property, its ongoing operations and, of course, the many rescued animals it houses.

The event will take place on Wednesday September 23, 2015 at Exhibit C. in NYC and feature the talents oMyq Kaplan, Kate Wolff and Alex Carabaño. Guests will be treated to delicious food from vegan chef Jay Astafa, as well as a selection of wine from Whitecliff Wines, and treats courtesy of Dun-Well Doughnuts. Woodstock Farm Sanctuary co-founders Jenny Brown and Doug Abel will be in attendance, so expect to rub some elbows with them at some point in the evening.

Goodie bags and raffle tickets, including selections from 22 Days NutritionCandle 79Field Roast and more, will also be on hand. And just so you know: all of the funds raised through raffle tickets and ticket sales will go directly to the sanctuary.

There are two types of tickets available: regular admission ($85), and a limited number of VIP passes ($165), which includes an even more awesome goodie bag and one complimentary raffle ticket.

If you can’t make it out to the party but still want to donate, you can do so here. And remember, you can always invite your friends to the shin-dig, too. The more, the merrier — and better for the animals.

See you there!

Veld donates money to farm animals and also serves them

Lest we be confused that their giant V logo stands for anything other than Veld.

Trading beef for beans is not a solution, veganism is

Please do substitute beef for beans, but also have tofu instead of turkey, carrots instead of chicken, and I think you see where I’m going.

Guys, extortion isn’t an effective form of vegan advocacy

Assuming we can extort people into respecting the lives of others makes no sense.
