Waka Flocka Flame and Raury cook up vegan treats

We didn’t know how badly we needed this video of Waka Flocka Flame and Raury baking vegan muffins together until we saw it. The rapper and singer/songwriter released a video for Munchies of them talking about veganism and taking us through their preferred method food cooking up goodness in the kitchen. “The first thing people ask when I tell them I’m a vegan is, ‘where do you get your protein from?’ It comes from all different kinds of shit—there’s so many things that give you more protein than meat,” says Raury. Both artists noted they miss Chick-Fil-A, so our fingers are crossed that their resolve is strong.

Flocka mentions the health reasons for being a vegan in the video, but has been involved with voicing the ethical reasons to go vegan on his social media accounts.

Check the video out. It’s NSFW, but those muffins look like the perfect breakfast!

I really hope they both stay vegan

Prisons profit from exploiting life and labour

Most young workers don’t want anything to do with manual labour jobs in meat and dairy, and as a result, a large majority of agricultural workers are marginalized people

If you’re mourning Sudan the rhino, go vegan

The world needs more vegans because more than dollars or pledges or sad-emoji riddled posts, our individual efforts can stop the demand for horns, for zoos, for animal flesh, and for the exploitation of any living being.

Criticize veganism, but don’t discredit it

Oppressive and harmful behaviour has no place in a movement rooted in anti-oppression.
